19th October Strong winds off the land
+ 30 over the deck and two reefs in the main
comfort with the 3rd deep reef
Passed Medusa (above) and sailed to Wallet Port Hand No 2
Returning to Harwich wind 21 – 29 over the deck she still made 6.5 through the water with very little sail when the wind dropped to v early 20’s
I am fairly confident of making good speeds on long passages with a very reduced sail area …
