Week End in Orford 10th – 12th October
After a couple of weeks away in Andalucia it was time to put some clothes on and get back to ‘Talisker l’
My Mirror Dinghy needed to be put away for the winter at Orford so sailed to Orford on Saturday with brother Henry and James R…. and then a sail aboard ‘Caveat’ a Moody 333 belonging to David and Jill Robinson with James R on Sunday afternoon..
Leaving Orford on the 12th
Light winds to start with from the NE and it took ages to make Bawdsey sailing well off shore before the wind settled in to a northerly 4 and we made Languard quickly. We furled the genoa and set the Stay Sail for the beat in to Harwich and then up to Suffolk YH. The Stay Sail is so easy to handle tacking in the river and despite the strong ebb we made the marina very quickly…
The Stay Sail is working well for me …
